Peyton's First Birthday Party!

Peyton had a lot of fun opening his presents! He got a lot of great gifts from everyone! Now if we could only figure out where to put it all!

Erin came home for the party. It was great to see her, just wish she could have stayed longer!

I got each of the kids a bucket and wrote their names on them. They each got to collect 10 easter eggs plus a bonus egg with their name on it during the egg hunt. The bonus egg had a gold dollar coin for each kid. They really enjoyed it! It was sweet, because each of the older kids were told they could only get ten and when they collected more than their share, they gave them to the younger kids.

We all had "John Deere" green on for the event!
We had a chocolate John Deere cake for the party, but got Peyton is own little cake to demolish! When we gave the cake to Peyton, he didn't know what to do at first. He played with the icing until we sliced into the cake. He ate some, but really wasn't too interested in eating much of it.

Finally - Nice Weather!

This past weekend was gorgeous, so we decided to take advantage! We took Peyton out in the backyard and let him practice climbing up the stairs of the porch and crawl around in the grass. He even decided to try chewing on an acorn shell! He had a lot of fun and of course slept great Sunday night!

Peyton's Birthday Present

We ordered Peyton a New York Yankee toy box for his birthday and decided to put it together and put it in his room already! He loves putting things in and taking things out of all sorts of things, so naturally, he loved playing in his toy box! Plus, we were running out of room for all of his little toys!

I've started giving Peyton a fork during dinner. He mostly just plays with it, but occasionally he surprises me and puts it in his mouth. Once he even put food on it and then put it in his mouth! He's not ready for a plate yet, since he still likes to pick it up and dump all his food everywhere. He'll get there!

SNOW!

Well it took me 15 minutes to get Peyton dressed just to go outside for 5 minutes! He's not feeling all that well today, so I'm not reallly sure if he liked the snow or not, but at least I was able to get some pictures of him in the snow!

Peyton couldn't move around too easily since he had on sweat pants, overalls, a fleece jumper and his winter coat, but he made do! The look on his face says get me off of this stuff, but he never cried!
